Winter Blues

Snow monkeys. Winter Blues....

Hi there. This is Kat. Just in case you forget who’s blog you’re reading. I do take full responsibility for all posts on this blog.

This winter has been hard. I have used my emotion light a lot this year. My SAD is really working out this winter. I would like it to get a lot less exercise. Some winters are just a lot harder to get through than others.

I have been taking all of my own advice! I only watch uplifting TV. No news, but you hear all about it everywhere. I enjoy the sun whenever it decides to shine. I use my mood light most cloudy days and I am trying to get a few neglected things done.

I still need to put away all my Christmas stuff. It’s down, but needs to get put in the cubbie it belongs in.

It is getting closer to spring, thank Goodness!

I would like you to notice that the days are getting longer now. I miss the times I was in Alaska and had sun about 20 hours a day. The other 4 I was asleep so it seemed like 24 hours of daylight. That was great!

If you are having a really hard winter this year, look ahead and take heart in the coming of spring. Don’t let the Blues get you down.

Think about spring and bright light.
Spring is coming!!!

I will be the first one to say that I have a whole lot of trouble getting things done. Don’t give up! If today is not a good day, try again tomorrow or the next day.

This month I will count 73 summers in my life. I have made it this far and don’t intend to stop now. I will keep going on at my own pace and keep counting the summers. My life has been hard, but wonderful at times. I look back and see that it could have been a lot worse. Every living thing on this planet has a problem. Don’t let anyone tell you they don’t because that is why we are here. To work out the life we were given. And I intend to stick around to find out if it was all worth it.

You stick around too and we will compare notes at some point. Hang in there. Get help when you need it. It is not shameful or beyond your reach anymore.

If you really need to talk to someone and you are at the end of your rope, call 988. They will talk to you all you need.

Take care of you. All living things matter. I only write this blog so you can take bits and pieces of it to heart and keep on going. Stay curious and see why this life is something we had to live and sometimes even enjoy.

You got this!! Love Kat
