Enjoy Your Friends

Even if you are depressed you should enjoy time with your friends. They can make you laugh and that is good for you. You don’t have to be the clown of the group. Just listen and enjoy them. If you need to be a little further away from the group, clean up any messes or take a craft with you.

You might not be as happy when you are alone again, but, that is OK. Don’t think that it is all your fault that you are down in the dumps. Everyone at some time feels like keeping to themselves. But, that is not a good idea. Sometimes a random word or idea someone talks about can get you moving a little bit.

We all need friends.

We all need friends. We are a community driven race. It does you no good to sit in your room and brood or worry. Worry is a waste of time and usually turns out that what worried you didn’t even happen. Brooding is just keeping you in the dark, probably thinking that you have no friends. You have some or you can make some.

Get out of your dark hole and sit in the sun for 10 to 15 minutes a day. Then when your friends do call it will not be so hard to go see them.

Depression is not my life.

Depression is not my life. I have it and some days are better than others. But, I use to go to work and now I have many things I have to do, so I can’t just live in my room.

Depression is NOT my life and it isn’t yours either. Push it to the back of your mind to deal with later. You can do it! Work on living outside your thoughts.
