You are more than one person.
Living with depression is not a fun thing. I am also a highly sensitive person. I naturally like to be alone. Not to hide, but just because I quite normally like to do my own thing. I also feel and carry around other people’s emotions. I can feel how other people are feeling. Large crowds and noises are too much for me. Angry or negative people can make me back away from them, even when I don’t know them. This emotion is inherited like my depression.
Too much stimulation or loud noises become hard for me to handle very fast.

Crowds are not for me.
Just as an aside….Litter really makes me mad!
I’m and introvert. That means people can exhaust me quickly. I like small quiet groups of a few good friends. I like to read, crochet, bake and going out in nature and more. All things with few or no other people.
Thirty to fifty percent of the population are introverts. Too many people is too much stimulation.
I am also an Empath. ( I sound so fun! ) Sometimes in crowds I can pick up emotions to the point of looking around to see if I can tell who I am feeling the most emotion from.
Not all feelings are depression.
All of these things have more symptoms too. As you can see, not everything you feel is depression.
You can be one or the other of these things or all three. Trifecta!!!
They all can have similar symptoms, but are not the same things.

Depression
Highly sensitive person
Introvert
Empath
You are not just depressed. Depression is the most serious to me because it can be deadly.
But, we are NOT just depressed.
Try to figure out what all you are.
The life we are living just may be all about finding out what we are and how to deal with it.
A journal could be helpful.
Maybe writing letters to yourself.
Evaluate yourself to see who you are. You just may be very surprised at what you find.
