I think that Fall is my least favorite season. It can be pretty when the sun is shining on the colorful leaves. But, then it gets cloudy and can stay that way for a week or two.
This is when we need to get out our yellow glasses and mood lights. You will be amazed that they do help. And get curious!

This is also when we really need to set aside the negative thoughts and think outside our heads. There is a whole world to explore out there for real activities or imagined ones. You could decide on a place to go, (really go or only wish you could go) or an activity to get into. I have recently started a very colorful crocheted cover for my bed. I picked out colors in a rug I have and mimicked those colors in yarn. I picked a free pattern on Pinterest and I am working on my cover. The colors and bright and blend together like the rug. It is keeping me busy! On those cloudy days I turn on my lights and crochet. You should have electric in your house. USE IT!! Do not wallow in a darkened room.
Here is an idea. Think of a place you would like to see. Look it up. You could make a board for it on Pinterest. Where would you go? How would you get there? Would you want someone to go with you? What clothes would you take? Shoes? Are you going to hike or canoe or maybe a whitewater adventure. Pack as light as you can. At some point you will need to carry that suitcase or backpack. If you go in your own car, how much will it cost to get it checked over to go on a trip? What will you eat? Eating out or going to restaurants? Don’t forget a craft to work on or a good book to read.
This could be fun even if you can’t do it. If you can, enjoy!
This planet is the most beautiful and amazing thing we have.
I have been in every state except Hawaii and Mississippi. Some states several times. I have gone by car, plane, camper, bus and railroad and loved it all. I really like the train. You can sit back and watch the landscape change and craft or read a book at the same time.

Amtrak has tickets that you can get off and back on a different train. I’ve been all over the US a few times on the train. You do have to carry that suitcase then. I like when you can get off and back on three times. The main hub is Chicago and the terminal is beautiful there.
I have taken the Northern route and stopped in Spokane, Washington and rented a car. We went to Coeur d’Alene, Idaho and drove around Washington and Oregon. We got back on the train and got off in San Francisco for a few days then headed back east through the Rockies and got creeped out in Donner’s Pass. That was just part of the adventure.
I still have places I would love to see. The Redwoods in California are one of the top places on my list.
Have a great time making plans. Get involved in the project even if you can’t go. It will get you out of your depressive loop and who knows, you just might go sometime. That is how I got to Alaska. One unplanned trip that lasted 10 years. I’ll tell you about it sometime. Get curious about this world and explore it….

Stay curious!!!! Look around you!!!! Dream!!!!
