Well, I was pecked in the eye by a bird.
In the Blink of my eye I had a scratch across my cornea. I spent the next day at two doctor’s offices. I got a tetanus shot since it was a bird scratch and went home with antibiotic drops for the next 7 days.
Not many people get pecked in the eye by a bird!
It was by a baby mockingbird that fell out of the nest way too soon. A whole tribe of cats live by where the baby fell, so he came home with me.
He was a big ball of fluff, with a very wide mouth from side to side and very curious eyes. He had no tail and still had an egg tooth. So cute!
He was a good eater and grew fast. His mouth got narrower and longer and the fuzz started to turn into smooth feathers.
When he started to learn to fly he landed on my shoulder and he was going to peck my hair, but I turned to look at him just when he pecked. Hence, my trip to the doctors.
And FYI, antibiotic eye drops are enough antibiotic to give you sun poisoning! Yes, I was a mess with a sore eye and splotchy face. All in the blink of an eye.
Life can change like that, also. Blink and your life can change.
Don’t give up when you think your depression will never go away.
Don’t listen to your depression! It really can all change in the blink of an eye.
