It’s the end of 2022

Well, we made it to the end of 2022. I am very proud of you. It might not have been pretty, but, that’s OK. You made it and that is what counts. In this new year of 2023 it is time to pull yourself up by your bootstraps and live the life you were put on this planet to life. Baby steps are way better than no steps at all.

I am hoping that by now you are making your bed everyday or almost every day and brushing your teeth. Self care is really good for your outlook. Maybe you are even up to taking a walk once in a while. Besides fatigue, sadness, feeling empty and more, depression can also give you headaches, muscle aches, irritability, back pain and more things than I can list. So, if you get mad at people and yell it is all part of the chemical imbalance that is lumped under depression. Give yourself some time and apologise a lot like I do.

Make it a great new year!!!

If you feel like crying, go ahead and cry. It is good for a stress release. I tend to cry alone. It makes me feel better and no one has to know. Luckily I don’t do it often. I have to be very sad to cry in my advanced old age!

This year try hard to get yourself outside and start a new hobby or finish an old one. A new year means moving forward not curling up in a fetal position and staying there. You are stronger than the depression. I definitely know that it takes work to become involved in life again, but it can be done.

Remember that years go quickly and a year from now I want you to be up and around and getting out into the world. The depression does not have to be gone, but you can still start living again. Watch some cartoons, the old funny ones, and start laughing again. The past is gone and memories can be just that, taken out and remember once in a while, or not, depending on how you deal with it. Be kind to yourself. Give yourself a break and pat yourself on the back for making it longer than you ever thought you could.

Make this year a good one. Try saying to yourself often, ” I make it a habit to be happy”.

The end of 2022 and a new year to work on yourself. No one has a 100% easy life. No one!!!

Maybe a brand new buddy will show up in the new year. Live your life like you know what you’re doing, I do.

Make it a great new year!!!
