The time has come to get tough with yourself.
Who are you going to listen to? The real you or your messed up brain chemicals?
The brain chemicals are all the negative thoughts. You are no good. You should be off this planet. You can’t do anything right. I hate you. You’re better off dead.
All negative thoughts that you have you can remind yourself that they are NOT true.

Do I still get negative thoughts? Of course I do. But, I know that I’m not really the one pulling them out of my brain.
Medications
I have been on medications since my 30’s. Right now I’m on two different ones and things are going pretty good for now.
I still get negative thoughts. I’ve had this imbalance my whole life. I still laugh and have fun. I enjoy my friends and worked every day like “normal” people.
When I start down that dark rabbit hole, I know what it is!
I do know people that only needed some help for a few weeks. Some people need help for a few years.
I know people with PTSD that have had to work hard for 3 or 4 years before they feel better.

Like any other life problems it has to be worked on. Think of people that have MS or ALS. Like my sister with Parkinson’s Disease.
They all have to be worked on to keep going. My friend with Cystic Fibrosis was told that she would only live to be in her twenties. She is in her mid 40’s now and still taking good care of herself and helping others do the same.
Reality
The reality is that life is hard. We all have hard things to get through.
We are worth the work, no matter what our brain tries to tell us.
We are tougher then brain chemicals.

If you think that you need help, you do! Depression and mental health are not taboo anymore. Help is all around us. USE IT!!
It is time to get tough!! Don’t let a passage of time in your life story run your whole life. BE TOUGH!
You can do this!!!
Pull up your jockstrap or your big girl panties and NEVER GIVE UP!! WORK!!!
