My favorite Pumpkin Pie Recipe From Pillsbury Family Cookbook

Pumpkin Pie
Ingredients
- 9-inch unbaked pie shell
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 T flour
- 1/2 t. salt
- 3/4 to 1 t. cinnamon
- 1/4 to 1/2 t. nutmeg
- 1/8 to 1/4 t. ginger
- 1/8 to 1/4 t. allspice
- 2 cups pumpkin, cooked or canned
- 1 2/3 cups Evaporated Milk
Directions
- Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
- Prepare unbaked pie shell
- in large mixing bowl, beat eggs.
- Add remaining ingredients; mix well
- Pour into pie shell
- BAKE 10 minutes; reduce temperature to 350 and BAKE 40 to 50 minutes or until knife inserted near center comes out clean.
- COOL
- Serve plain or with whipped cream. Store in refrigerator.
Sugar Cookies

Sugar Cookie Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 1/3 cup shortening
- 1 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 t. grated orange peel
- 1 t. vanilla
- 2 eggs
- 8 t. milk
- 4 cups flour
- 1 T. baking powder
- 1/2 t. salt
Directions
- Cream together shortening, sugar, orange peel and vanilla.
- Add eggs; beat until light and fluffy.
- Stir in milk
- Blend in dry ingredients.
- Divide dough in half
- Chill 1 hour
- Roll to 1/8 inch cut out cookies.
- Bake on greased pan.
- Bake at 375 degrees for 6-8 minutes.
- I like to Bake the cookies and freeze them. Frost on another day.
Hot Fudge Sauce….Microwave
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 3 Tablespoons cocoa
- 1 1/2 Tablespoons corn starch
- dash salt
- 1/2 cup water-room temperature
- 2 Tablespoons butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
Directions
- Mix dry ingredients in 1 qt casserole or 2 cup glass measure. Stir in water.
- Cook in microwave on full power 1 1/2 minutes. Stir halfway through.
- Blend in butter and cook for 30 seconds, or until butter is melted.
- Stir
- Blend in vanilla and stir well.
