My favorite Pumpkin Pie Recipe From Pillsbury Family Cookbook

Pumpkin Pie

Ingredients

  • 9-inch unbaked pie shell
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 T flour
  • 1/2 t. salt
  • 3/4 to 1 t. cinnamon
  • 1/4 to 1/2 t. nutmeg
  • 1/8 to 1/4 t. ginger
  • 1/8 to 1/4 t. allspice
  • 2 cups pumpkin, cooked or canned
  • 1 2/3 cups Evaporated Milk

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
  2. Prepare unbaked pie shell
  3. in large mixing bowl, beat eggs.
  4. Add remaining ingredients; mix well
  5. Pour into pie shell
  6. BAKE 10 minutes; reduce temperature to 350 and BAKE 40 to 50 minutes or until knife inserted near center comes out clean.
  7. COOL
  8. Serve plain or with whipped cream. Store in refrigerator.

Sugar Cookies

Sugar Cookie Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 1/3 cup shortening
  • 1 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 t. grated orange peel
  • 1 t. vanilla
  • 2 eggs
  • 8 t. milk
  • 4 cups flour
  • 1 T. baking powder
  • 1/2 t. salt

Directions

  1. Cream together shortening, sugar, orange peel and vanilla.
  2. Add eggs; beat until light and fluffy.
  3. Stir in milk
  4. Blend in dry ingredients.
  5. Divide dough in half
  6. Chill 1 hour
  7. Roll to 1/8 inch cut out cookies.
  8. Bake on greased pan.
  9. Bake at 375 degrees for 6-8 minutes.
  10. I like to Bake the cookies and freeze them. Frost on another day.

Hot Fudge Sauce….Microwave

Quick and easy

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 3 Tablespoons cocoa
  • 1 1/2 Tablespoons corn starch
  • dash salt
  • 1/2 cup water-room temperature
  • 2 Tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Directions

  1. Mix dry ingredients in 1 qt casserole or 2 cup glass measure. Stir in water.
  2. Cook in microwave on full power 1 1/2 minutes. Stir halfway through.
  3. Blend in butter and cook for 30 seconds, or until butter is melted.
  4. Stir
  5. Blend in vanilla and stir well.
